Is WI-FI available on board Smyrilline?

Do not expect it! You are sailing over the Atlantic ocean.

Even though it is possible to obtain WI-FI through satellite it will alway be very costly and we suggest that you prepare for not having any WI-FI.

How ever each part of the sailing is only about 24 hours, so when the ship is not at sea you will be able to get access to the internet through local currier.

Is Iceland crowd-sourcing its Constitution

Yes and no.

Iceland is drafting up a new constitution and is using crowd-sourcing as part of the process. Constitutional council of 25 members, was chosen by election (that was then ruled invalid – but the parlament chose them any way). The constitutional council has created a Facebook page where the public can leave comments on the draft proposals. Comments can also be left at the website where these proposals are posted. In addition, Icelanders can also follow a Twitter stream and a YouTube channel to keep up to date with all the meetings.

It is still up to the council to use the ideas and comments brought to them through the website in their work.
